QRIS Payment System is Applied at the Museum of Biology

News Wednesday, 10 May 2023

On February 15 2023, the Museum of Biology, Faculty of Biology UGM begins to implement QRIS (Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard) payment system for purchasing tickets, foods and beverages, and souvenirs. QRIS is a payment system in the form of a QR code which is usually printed on the spot when visitors make transactions. It has been integrated with various existing m-banking and digital wallets.

Using this system, it is easier for visitors to make payments without having to use cash because the system only requires one QR Code. Rather than only facilitating transactions, the application of this super program can also be beneficial to prevent fraud, facilitate monitoring, and ensure transaction security. However, conventional payments using cash are still available to facilitate any form of payment flexibly.

The following describes how to use QRIS at the Museum:

  1. Visitors decide on how to make certain types of transactions (purchasing tickets, foods and beverages, or souvenirs)
  2. The counter staff informs the payment nominal
  3. Visitors open the m-banking/electronic wallet application, then select the QR scan code provided at the counter.
  4. Visitors enter the payment nominal following the password on m-banking/digital wallet.
